On Friday, we were on our way out of town, and stopped at an ATM for S&L to get some cash. It’s inside a grocery store, which is in a plaza with several other stores. I parked in front of a little salon. As I sat there on the hood of the car waiting, this woman walked in to the salon…..and left ALL FOUR of her children outside. Seriously, the little one couldn’t have been quite two, and the oldest was MAYBE eight. I sat there for about 15 minutes watching these children run all over the place with zero supervision (excepting my own; I had to steer the little one out of the parking lot) before I stuck my head in the door of the salon and announced that I was leaving now and she needed to watch her own kids.

Couldn’t agree more. I am effing sick and tired of having to dumb down to accommodate the masses. How about requiring them to smarten up just once?
